This will be training backpacking hike … but without the wilderness. 

Parents and Scouts, 

Please review the attached "2025 Summer Camp Merit Badge & Activity Matrix" and assemble a list of merit badges and/or other non-merit badge activities your scout would like to do in session schedule order. A best practice is to create multiple lists just in case a chosen merit badge isn't available for the session you chose on your primary list. We suggest choosing merit badges that you CANNOT do here with the troop throughout the year (see the merit badge counselor list on the troop website). The scouts will depart for their first merit badges from the dining hall and finishing at the campsite (TBD), so we also suggest building your scout's day using the attached map and "walking times" chart to reduce unnecessary travel.

Early Bird pricing is $435 and is due immediately. The troop has to pay the camp by Thursday night 3/27 to lock-in the lowest pricing. If you or your scout has already registered on the www.bsatroop1195.org calendar event in July, then the troop is going to pay the camp and you will need to reimburse the troop. Anyone registering on the troop website after 3/27 will be subject to higher pricing.
